Objective:  Teach how to genuinely follow and manifest the Holy Spirit.

The “charismata” were and are good if and where they are present today, but they are not the final answer or even a full disclosure.  There are things even those with “gifts” don’t see clearly or fully.  There is a need for something more, something greater, for fuller guidance and direction, some  fuller concept of, and guide to, spiritual maturity. We need something to focus on that will always be important to our thinking right, acting right, proceeding right and being genuinely spiritual.  Here are three reliable guides to always direct the church and our personal Christian lives for genuine spirituality.

Objective:  Encourage @ to cling to relationship with Jesus Christ.

Over a million adults came out of Egypt and crossed the Red Sea in the Exodus, but only two of them entered God’s promise.  Why?  Well, there were temptations.  They failed to keep their focus on God.  Israel should have clung to that which was absolutely trustworthy and dependable.  They should have taken a stand on the “Rock”.   We need to learn from Israel’s experience, to take our stand on Christ.

The word “prophesy” simply means to declare or proclaim.  In particular, to set forth the word of God.  You do this when you tell your kids that God loves them or when you quote Scripture. This “forth-telling” of the the word of God is something we are all supposed to all be doing.  We should earnestly desire to get better at communicating the will of God to people. Here are three specific ways in which we ought to work at proclaiming the word of God.

Listen to audio;  1 Corinthians 13;1-13 – Live Out Love

Israel was intensely devout.  They would willingly die for their religion, yet many of them missed it when God came in the flesh.  How can that be?  Christ is the very manifestation of God, so you would think Christians would never miss the essence of religion, but the Apostle is here, telling the Corinthians they have missed it.  What is it we need to grasp so we don’t miss it?  We need to grasp that love is the very essential basis of true religion.
